We, as Baptists, probably err on the side of not discussing spiritual warfare enough. We are rightly concerned to not cast blame for everything bad on spiritual forces. But to ignore the interaction of spiritual forces on the physical realm is to disregard the first two chapters of Job and Paul's words in Eph 6:12. The enemy of our souls is very real and the conflict against us is equally as real. Hezekiah faced the war in a physical way with a spiritual factor. His move was to trust YHWH to deliver him. We can do the same thing.
So, we will discuss these spiritual forces this week. And in attempting to expose them, we are increasing our vulnerability and put a target on our chests. So pray! Let us put on the armor and hold our shields together!
