This message is for us as we struggle in the middle of what we thought was God's will. 

As we "make headway painfully" against a headwind, we may be tempted to forget what we already know about God. The old adage, "don't doubt in the dark what you knew to be true in the light" is true. Storms can either strengthen or weaken our faith. God intends to build us up in the storms, so he meets us in the middle of them and reveals himself more deeply. 

Do not be alarmed. This is normal discipleship. And we will reach the shore safely by his grace and power!
